ATGWA – Aurangabad Tour Guides Welfare Association, Aurangabad was formed in 1997. The main objective of the association is to protect the Guide related issues, to bring all the Ministry of Tourism approved guides operating in the state of Maharashtra under one roof, to provide Guiding services to tourists visiting Aurangabad, Ajanta, Ellora & western region, to cooperate the local tourism administration for promoting Tourism in the region.
The members of ATGWA are experts in guiding not only in sight seeing tours but also in cultural tours, study tours, heritage tours, pilgrimage tours, flora and fauna tours that include adventure tours, wildlife tours, bird watching tours, etc. All members of ATGWA are fluent in English and a sizable number speak foreign lanugages including Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Arabic.
It must be said that our members besides guiding in Western India, also work as tour escorts / tour leaders / and interpreters all over India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka etc.
